The unique expertise of the special forces

APPLIED TO BUSINESS ISSUES

PEGASUS Leadership’s seminars, training courses and events, which lie at the centre of our coaching programmes for teams and talents, are led by:

  • experienced leaders. The PEGASUS team includes:
    – 90% Marine Commandos with 20 to 30 years of operational experience each.
    – experts with a dual background as Naval Officer/Senior Executive.
since 2007, our team of trainers has led several hundred different PEGASUS programmes!
  • Partners from major consulting firms, international companies and business schools, with whom we co-construct some of our courses.
  • A network of specialists (communication, neurosciences, crisis management, negotiation, “major witnesses”, ocean racing skippers, etc.) called upon whenever a particular viewpoint seems important to us.

THE WAR ROOM® POSTURE

UNDERLYING ALL OUR INTERVENTIONS

The WAR ROOM posture is a set of collective behaviours and teamwork principles
that an organisation adopts on an ad hoc basis to make decisions
when the situation cannot be handled “as usual”.
The organisation and team will then “switch to WAR ROOM mode”.

We share elements of this WAR ROOM posture with our clients according to the course objectives.

FORMALISED BY PEGASUS LEADERSHIP, THE WAR ROOM POSTURE IS:

 • A summary of the best methods for preparing and conducting action used by the Special Forces in operations.

• Application to  corporate issues  on the back of dozens of experiments and experiences since 2007.

• Simple,  fast  and  operational  principles to optimise individual and team performance in unusual situations.

“ACTION LEARNING”
TO ACCELERATE
ADOPTION AND CHANGE

Each of our courses is designed in at least 3 steps :

1.

 A “TARGET” DIAGNOSIS

Examples:

  • A face-to-face interview with the Team Leader or the Talent Programme Manager
  • A “Special forces team” or “Special forces leader” self-assessment online.
  • A group workshop
  • Behavioural tests already carried out by the participants
  • An organisational audit

This diagnosis is used to adjust the content, level and intensity of the programme’s “core” as precisely as possible: the impact. It is adapted using our own techniques and resources or those of our partners.

2.

AN “IMPACT” SEMINAR OR TRAINING COURSE

Examples:

  •  Seminar in the PEGASUS campus at the Lorient Submarine Base
  •  In-company training with “off-premises” simulation
  •  Outdoor team building followed by an after-action review (AAR)
  •  WAR ROOM day with outdoor exercise in an urban setting
  •  Immersive learning expedition (e.g. ocean racing)

The impact is always designed to meet the company’s objectives and constraints. Apart from the specific case of our interventions on your premises, it is systematically based on a “real and decentralised” situation. During this simulation, we call upon participants’ emotional intelligence, revealing their true talent… and frailties.

3.

“ANCHORING” FOLLOW-UP

Examples:

  • Individual or collective action plan.
  • Oral recommendation report.
  • Individual coaching.
  • Co-development sessions.
  • Operational change training.
  • Additional training/coaching.

Turning impact into real progress is the ultimate goal of our accompaniment. Every one of our courses includes early follow-up to help translate good resolutions into concrete actions.

THE INSIGHT OF
THE MARITIME METAPHOR

The sea has forged the characters personalities and the methods and convictions of PEGASUS Leadership concerning successful teams and leaders.

When our programmes include a seminar or immersion training course in the PEGASUS Campus at the Lorient Submarine Base , you will experience “for real” the need for preparation, rigour, tenacity and self-questioning imposed by the sea.

Of course, within reason: most of the activities proposed are organised in the calm and protected waters of the bay of Lorient!

If the chosen accompaniment does not take place on the PEGASUS Campus, the Marines will come to you to share their experience!
